Hazel was found as a stray in rural North Carolina and turned into a shelter. At almost 11 years old, Hazel is blind and deaf. A loud shelter is a very scary place for dogs like Hazel, and Carolina's Poodle Rescue's SOS programs helps the Hazels of the world find a loving sanctuary.
Hazel is a sweetly seriously senior. Hazel's besties are Ben and Shorty. She hangs with the geriatric set and they have morning nap time together. And afternoon nap time. And early evening nap time. In fact anytime is a good nap time for this trio. Hazel wouldn't harm a fly and seriously is quiet and content. Put food in front of her and she eats with gusto. Make it a hotdog treat and she gets most excited.
Hazel's equilibrum is a bit off due to ear problems that were not corrected. She likes to walk in slow circles round and round and we let her. Pick her up and cuddle her and she's happy in your arms. Hazel is very close to totally blind due to cataracts. We wish we had gotten her a bit earlier in her life and could have cleared her vision and her ear problems. It may have made a big difference to her.
Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog! I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs. If I have medical challenges I need even more! r having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support! Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate. Questions? Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I love my Virtual Adopters!Donate
