Prancer was found as a stray in rural North Carolina and landed at a shelter. At almost 17 years old, a loud shelter is no place for a senior fellow looking for a place to retire. Carolina Poodle Rescue's SOS program provides a loving sanctuary for seniors like Prancer who are looking for a quiet place to live out their senior days.

Prancer is a good boy. He's spunky and can get around pretty good, he just has to get his feet under him when it's time to go out in the morning. He is VERY treat motivated and loves food. We don't think he knows any commands. Prancer is sensitive about bein

g touched (he squeals) so he does not prefer to be picked up. He has a hard time with not going to the bathroom in his crate. Also along with being picked up he doesn't like to be messed with, so getting a sweater on him would be hard, even a collar possibly. Prancer is not aggressive. He is lazy and likes to lounge around and be loved on.

Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog! I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs.  If I have medical challenges I need even more! r having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support!  Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate.
