Meet An Adoptable Dog
Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed (long coat)
Estimated Birthdate: 9/5/2014
Location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC
Reason for being in rescue: owner release-poor health
Special Needs: none noted
What kind of home would be best for me: Peaches would fit best in a low energy home with an adopter that is looking for a lap dog.
What is my personality like: Peaches is a wonderful very well behaved dog. She is low maintenance dog in that she does not need a lot of training and does not have a lot of special needs. She just wants to be loved. She does not bark a lot, only when she hears a suspicious noise outside. She is housetrained and is currently in a foster home with a doggie door, so she uses the door and goes outside when she needs to go potty. Peaches does need a little work with leash training. She is not used to having to walk on a leash because her foster family has a fenced yard. Peaches wants to be someone's number one dog, and would really love to have a family of her own. She gets along well with other dogs, but she wants to be the one getting all the loving and attention. Her favorite thing to do is sit with you and watch tv while getting belly rubs and back scratches. Peaches is a lazy dog so if you are looking for a low energy calm, companion dog to sit and unwind with then Peaches is your girl!
How do I act when I first meet new people: Peaches is friendly when meeting new people.
More tips and tidbits:
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
