Meet An Adoptable Dog
Breed: Beagle / Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
Weight: 15.8 lbs
Height: est. 9 in.
Estimated Birthdate: 11/6/2015
Fence Needed: No, but I would love one
Location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC
Reason for being in rescue: Owner release- Originally found as stray. Family did not have time for him.
Special Needs: Adult only home that knows how to train is a requirement for this boy!
What kind of home would be best for me: Wesley is a sweet boy, but he has a bite history. I have never had an issue with him myself, but it’s there. He doesn’t do well with cats, but does just fine with other dogs. He is very vocal about his yard, so you’ll be well protected against squirrels, leaves, the neighbors, and burglars. He is a loving boy, he was returned once, and the poor boy cried all night. He just wants someone to love him. He does best in a med to high energy home with no kids, at least no young ones. He loves treats, and he WILL do a happy fat dance at dinner time.
What is my personality like? I'm a very happy go lucky boy who loves treats and love. I can be clingy at first but that's because I'm not quite sure who is sticking around and who's not. How can you blame me: I've been a little tossed around. Once I know you will be there I am a very calm, loving boy with a lot of admiration to give. Understand I am a dog and I need teaching and training.
How do I act when I first meet new people: I'm friendly, especially if you have treats!
Tips and Tidbits:
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
