My Story

Date into rescue: 12/11/2017

Reason for being in rescue? Owner release/ Behavioral issues

Special Needs? Some behavioral issues per previous owner  - needs training and guidance, prefer an only dog home

What kind of home would be best for me? I would do best in an adult only home with owners that are experienced with headstrong, energetic poodles. I would greatly benefit from extra training. Since I need to work on my training, it would be best for me to be the only dog in my home. I am totally fine with cats - I pretty much ignore them.

What is my personality like? You can just call me Mr.Personality. I prance around this place like I own it! Confidence is key. What led me to the farm is my previous owners could no longer deal with some of my behavior issues. They sent me to a trainer- I did well with her.. but once back in my home environment I took 2 steps back. I can be reactive towards new people and mainly dogs but the longer I am here at the farm, the more I improve. I have had interaction with a standard poodle like me and we did just fine together. I am extremely athletic, I could run until the cows come home! Give me a football and the outdoors and I am as happy as can be. Food and toys is what motivates me, I will nearly do anything for those. I know my basic commands but since I am so bouncy it can be hard to get me to concentrate. I really need a home where my wild spirit and energy is welcomed with opened arms.  And remember - in poodle years I am still a puppy.

How do I act when I meet new people? I bark at new people but with a few treats and patience It will be no time before I am leaping towards you for attention.

Tips and Tidbits: I was released to CPR due to me being aggressive towards new people and other dogs in previous home.  I've met so many people here that I am starting to understand there are a LOT of people in this world and I don't need to bark at them all.

House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours.  We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
