My Story

Date into rescue: 12/28/2017

Reason for being in rescue? Owner surrender, owner lived in senior living and got complaints about barking

Special Needs? Sami Boy has luxating patellas common to small dog breeds, but they do not seem to be causing any pain or lameness at this time

What kind of home would be best for me? Sami Boy is a sweet boy who needs to be the only dog in a home. He loves to snuggle with his person, but will resource guard his people. His ideal home is one with a single person where he will be the only and only king of the castle. Owner Experience 4: Experienced dog owner. This will be your second or third dog, but have had no behavioral or medical challenges to work with.

What is my personality like? Sami Boy is a cute boy who knows how to work his charm. He will come up to greet you and jump up on your leg asking to be petted. Sami Boy lives in a foster home with several other dogs and cats and does well with them. He is a lap boy that enjoys being cuddled. Sami Boy was adopted and returned by his family for resource guarding his boy. He was tightly bonded to his boy and began to guard him from others. Given thi shistory, we believe Sami Boy will be best in a home with no children and ideally one adult where he can be your one and only.

How do I act when I meet new people? Friendly.

Tips and Tidbits:

House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours.  We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
