My Story

Date into Rescue: 3/4/2018

Reason for being in rescue: Bo was an owner release with a group of dogs due to his owner having too many animals. He landed in a shelter in KY and was rescued by CPR.

Special Needs: Bo recently had surgery to correct cataracts in both of his eyes. He responded positively to the surgery and is enjoying his restored vision. We do believe that Bo is hearing impaired.

What kind of home would be best for me: Bo would love a quiet home where he can sit with his person or people all day. He would be wonderful in a home with a older family members rather than small children. Their energy level might be a bit much for him. Bo is a great dog for first time or experienced adopters.

What is my personality like: Bo is an extremely docile and mild mannered boy. Bo is the sweetest little guy who just loves to be held and cuddled. Bo is never messy in his crate, and he is not at all crate or food aggressive. Bo's cat test went very well, he wasn't really interested in the cat at all but he didn't seem scared. Bo doesn't really play with toys, but he is great with other dogs and doesn't mind playing with them or you. He will correct a dog if they are annoying him, but he is never mean. Bo loves to be picked up and carried around, but he has to get to know you first. Let him sit with you and snuggle and he will be your best friend! Sometimes he will shy away when you go to pick him up, but he will come to you when he is ready. Bo mostly loves to lay around and cuddle rather than play. Bo is the perfect definition of a lap dog!

How do I act when I first meet new people: Shy but friendly.

Tips and Tidbits:

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
