Curtis was found as a stray in TN. Our Operations Manager was at the shelter pulling some dogs that Carolina Poodle Rescue had committed to when she spotted him. Dirty. Quiet. Huddled in the corner. She couldn't leave him behind.

Curtis arrived at Dreamweaver Farms unexpectedly, but dogs like him are why we have a sanctuary program. We couldn't leave him to die in a shelter. We knew this boy needed us! Sweet Curtis is a bit of a medical mess. He has a hernia, suffers from dry eye, and his coat is still recovering from his days living on the streets. For all this, Curtis is love.

Curtis is now living happily and quietly at Dreamweaver Farms. He is the perfect gentleman. Curtis loves sunshine. On a warm day you will find him making a bed outside to lounge while the sun beats down. He makes "nests" - scrunching up anything soft he can find to lay on. He is respectful of other space and never ever bothers other dogs. He is as calm and happy when you pet him as can be, but does not demand attention. In a busy sanctuary, Curtis is a gentle love.

What Curtis loves most is food. We can't blame him... who knows how long he was wandering the streets hungry?! Curtis will literally eat anything you put in front of him. There is not a picky bone in this boy's body!

Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog! I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs.  If I have medical challenges I need even more! r having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support!  Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate.
