My Story

Date into Rescue:  11/18/2019

Reason for being in rescue:  Owner Surrender

Special Needs: Quinn has had mammary tumors removed and is now ready for her forever home. She also has a severe flea allergy and must stay on flea & tick medicine.

What kind of home would be best for me: Quinn is used to being the one and only, she would like to continue being the princess. She does well with a variety of people. She seeks a home with older children, but it's OK if there are none to take any attention away from her. Quinn is a little lady who can travel easily and would be great for the travelling couple. Her new home needs to be ready with a warm lap.

What is my personality like: Quinn has the best of poodle personality traits - intelligent, bright eyes, fun energy are part of her charms. She likes to brighten every room with her sunny personality. Quinn gets along with other small dogs and is OK with cats.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Quinn thinks it's about time you met her! She has been ready to meet you. She will greet everyone with a wagging tail and excited barks to make sure you know she is in the room. Quinn is definitely pleased to meet everyone who has a treat.

Tips and Tidbits: (9/5/2014) Quinn has flea allergies and needs to be kept on routine flea medication. Quinn will scratch and chew her skin to the point she will lose her coat. We have been able to control her allergy and allow her fur to grow back. Also, Quinn needed to have mammary tumors removed on her arrival. This is common condition for dogs who are not spayed. She has recovered from this procedure and is ready to go home!

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
