Teach was picked up as a stray in Columbia, he was very matted and had to be shaved down. He is very timid, but we are still getting to know him. Teach was highly heartworm positive when he arrived (though we were not surprised) and has been treated.

Teach had not been dealt a good hand before he came to us. His behavior reflects this greatly. He does not know what it's like to be loved by a human - someone has been very bad to him in his past, and it is going to take a long time to turn him around, but it can and will be done.

Teach's transformation at Carolina Poodle Rescue has been nothing short of amazing to watch. He is a very shy boy but yet very sweet. He still is not sure how to take in affection, but he will accept it but he is very cautious about it . Teach is crate trained he is wonderful about not using his crate! He loves to bounce around ! When he gets excited he will hop around like a rabbit which is another adorable thing about him.

Teach has come a long way since he first arrived, but he still has a VERY long way to go. He will warm up to be a sweet boy one day - we are sure of this. Teach could be an amazing family dog with time and patience, but he needs someone who can spend a lot of time with him and get him out and into the world.
