Lollipup Jack was found as a stray in North Carolina. Overall, Lollipup Jack is a very sweet guy with an outgoing and unique personality.
Jack loves to play. He plays rough with his cottage mates sometimes, but it's all in good fun. Jack does not like to be picked up, even by people he knows well. He does resource guard his crate and his people. Jack does well on a leash. He loves the dogs in his cottage that he knows, but he is not nice to newcomers that are brought there to live with him. He is not aggressive with them, doesn't fight with them, he just follows them around and barks in their face the whole time. Jack is curious about cats, but not aggressive toward them. Overall he is a happy boy.
Jack is crate trained and overall has good manners. He will make an excellent addition to someone who is confident and a good trainer. You need to understand resource guarding and how to redirect his behavior to the positive.
We are seeking an adult only home, as we have seen him resource guard a few times, Lollipup Jack needs a strong leader in his home to correct his attitude at times with resource guarding. We believe he would do best as an only dog - he likes all the attention on him! He'll be a great companion for somebody one day!
Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog! I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs. If I have medical challenges I need even more! r having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support! Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate. Questions? Email: email@example.com
I love my Virtual Adopters!Donate
