Big poodles are my heart and this is no secret. I think they are the most beautiful creatures in the world. I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and many of you feel the same way about your dog no matter the breed. I also know all of you who follow our posts agree on one thing.
No beautiful creature, no matter the breed, should live in unrelenting pain.
Meet Chloe. At just 4 years old. Chloe has already lived a lifetime. Two homes. Addison’s disease. And untreated ear infections so bad that her ears ooze infection and are swollen so badly they are completely closed. Have you ever spent the day with a toddler with a simple ear infection? They scream. They cry. They are inconsolable.
Yet Chloe never complains. She never bites. She sweetly and stoically endures.
To have this most beautiful creature in so much pain yet to see her so uncomplaining is incomprehensible but it is our reality today,
With your help, we can change that.
This weekend, 8 brave people and 8 braver dogs will take on the US Canine Biathalon. Over 4 miles of rough country terrain and 40 obstacles stand between us and the finish line. We are committed to finishing if you will help us over the line. Our request is a simple $16 donation, a dollar for each of our runners, and every penny goes to Luna’s Legacy Medical Fund. We’re doing it for Chloe and for all the others who have no choice but to live with the pain until we change it.
