Cash was surrendered directly to rescue due to the health of his owner in early 2017. He had clearly lived a very quiet life. Cash does not care for people he does not know very much. Time, treats, patience and LOTS of experience help. But for the past 3 years Cash has not chosen a person to call his own. He is now in sanctuary care.

Cash's caregivers describe him like a sour patch kid... first he is sour and then he's sweet. He is the type of dog that loves affection, but only on his terms! He does not need to be cuddled up in someone's lap all the time and is perfectly content doing his own thing. He spends most of his days curled up in a comfy blanket and napping. Cash doesn't know any basic commands, but he does walk well on a leash. Although he really does not care much for being outside.

Cash is a lazy boy. He can be stubborn. If you push him he will absolutely snap at you and try to bite. He does not want to be picked up - it makes him very uncomfortable. He knows how to crate himself when asked and he loves treats. He ignores cats.

At 12 years old, Cash is living life on his terms. Our sanctuary program allows him to do this.

Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog! I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs.  If I have medical challenges I need even more! r having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support!  Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate.
