Biography

Harley Quinn was rescued from a South Carolina shelter after being found as a stray in 2018. Her past is a mystery, but we know from her personality and behavioral quirks that she has some tough stories to tell.

Harley Quinn was lightly heartworm positive when arriving at the farm. She received immiticide injections and has been taking a monthly ivermectin pill and has now tested negative for heartworms.  Happy news!

Harley Quinn is smart and thoughtful. She is very food motivated and absolutely loves toys. Her favorites are squeaky toys, but this girl is not picky. If there is a toy to be had she is game! Harley will literally spend all day rotating between her toys, playing happily and independently with them. She even naps with them between her paws.

Harley Quinn also loves to be outside. She enjoys running the wide open fenced areas of Dreamweaver Farms and can even be caught trying to chase cars that pass by along the fence. Harley definitely has more of the border collie energy and would be great with a job. When she is done running and playing, she wants to nap. Her favorite spot for you to scratch is right under her chin, which is her absolute favorite way to fall asleep.

Harley Quinn is very comfortable with life in rescue. She is a staff favorite and gets along great. But Harley can be unpredictable. She does not like to be pushed and is used to living life on her terms. She was placed in a loving home, but returned for biting when she was asked to follow basic house rules. The adopters really tried - Harley just really wants to do life on her terms.

Harley Quinn is a lot of dog. She could be adopted again to a home where she would be the only dog and with VERY experienced owners that are committed to allowing her to live life on her terms. Harley is happy at Dreamweaver Farms and we are happy to have this beautiful girl as part of our sanctuary program. Here, she lives her best life, her way, every day!

Sponsorship

Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog! I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs.  If I have medical challenges I need even more! r having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support!  Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate. Questions?  Email: cprsosdogs@carolinapoodlerescue.org

I love my Virtual Adopters! ANGELA H.
