Meet An Adoptable Dog
Breed: Boxer (short coat)
Weight: 58 lbs
Height: Estimated 25 in
Estimated Birthdate: 7/5/2012
Location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC
Reason for being in rescue: released to rescue, not getting along with other dog.
Special Needs: none noted
What kind of home would be best for me: Dany would love a home that understands her breed and is willing and able to give her the exercise/stimulation she needs. For Dany, the rescue was a last resort for her due to her not getting along with another dog in the home. Her owner showed up with her at our farm and told staff bluntly he would be taking her out to shoot her if we did not take her. He meant it. We took her. I will let you draw your own conclusions on how you feel about her previous owner.
What is my personality like: Dany has the Boxer personality down pat! She wants to be the center of attention at all times and will do her best to stay that way. She is a true love bug and thoroughly enjoys being her silly self. Dany is treat motivated and walks well on a leash. She wants to please! This girl is too full of life and love to still be here without a forever home. She radiates with enthusiasm with a big heart to match! We know she will make a great family dog if someone would just give her the chance.
Dany is dog selective - which means she is okay with certain dogs but not all dogs. She would most likely be happiest as an only dog. Most importantly, she gets along with dogs that respect her. She did not react to the office cats that she met here. We know this girl will be a true treasure for the right Boxer-loving family!
How do I act when I first meet new people: Dany loves to meet people. She is a true social butterfly. She has a 'hiney wiggle" when people approach her from trying to wag her tail so hard!
Tips and Tidbits: Estimated Birthdate: 7/5/2012.
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
