My Story

Date into Rescue:  1/8/2020

Reason for being in rescue:  breeder surrender

Special Needs: Harry came to us as a puppy who did not sell from a breeding facility.  Since he was kennel raised he will need some help learning how to be a house pet

What kind of home would be best for me: Harry needs a home where he can learn how to be someone's pet. Harry needs an experienced dog owner and someone that can take the time to train him. Possibly someone that has knowledge of training in dogs or experience with dogs that have came from a breeder. A home with another dog would work for Harry also, he has a large playgroup at the farm and does very well with them! Harry would benefit from a home that has lots of exercise and activities for him to do as well.

What is my personality like: Harry is on the timid side but once he warms up he will love you forever. Harry gets very excited when he sees his caregivers coming. Harry has lots of friends on the farm and he is a very social dog! He does have a short attention span and will definitely need training but he's young and he can learn. He will need a large amount of exercise as he is full of life and energy. Harry has some crate anxiety, he does bark and seems stressed when he is in his crate and people are around. He eats at a comfortable pace and is very gentle when taking treats from you! Harry just needs time, training, and patience and he will truly make an amazing transformation!

How do I act when I first meet new people: Timid and shy but doesn't take me long to warm up.

Tips and Tidbits: Birthdate 09/30/2018

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
