Meet An Adoptable Dog
Breed: Poodle (Miniature) / Shih Tzu (long coat)
Weight: 8.1 lbs
Estimated Birthdate: 3/12/2010
Fence Needed: No
Location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC
Adoption Fee:$400 for the pair
Reason for being in rescue: Skipper and Minnie were surrendered to a shelter after their owner had a baby. CPR pulled them from the local shelter.
Special Needs: Skipper had a dental on 3/17/20 and lost 9 teeth. He and Minnie are now ready for their forever home.
What kind of home would be best for me: Skipper and his sister Minnie are looking for a home with room in their heart for 2 beautiful babies. They have been together their entire lives and are dependent on each other. Skipper is a lap baby. He does like to run and play so a yard would be preferred. He would do well in a home with older children also, over the age of 12.
What is my personality like: Skipper is a very loving and affectionate dog. He loves to sit in your lap and have you talk "baby talk" to him. Skipper might be 10 years old, but he does like to run around and play. He loves his sister very much and they love to follow each other around and play. Skipper also does love to roam around as long as Minnie is roaming too. These two are truly inseparable!!
How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly and happy
Tips and Tidbits: Skipper's estimated birthday is 3/12/2010
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
