My Story

Date into Rescue: 3/7/2020

Reason for being in rescue: Minnie and Skipper were surrendered to a shelter after their owner had a baby. CPR pulled them from the local shelter.

Special Needs: Minnie has a heart mummer that is a 2/6. Minnie had a dental on 3/17/20 and lost 4 teeth. She is now ready for her forever home.

What kind of home would be best for me: Minnie has a brother named Skipper, and they are a bonded pair. They must stay together they truly depend on each other. Minnie loves to be a lap dog, and loves to roam around. So a yard would be preferred for them both. A home with older children would also be good for them as they do like to play even though they are over 10 years young. They both are also very good with other dogs.

What is my personality like: Minnie likes to be right under your feet at all times, along with Skipper. She would love to be someone's lap baby. She might be a senior but she still has a lot of spunk left in her and loves to play! Minnie likes to wander around, but once she has checked everything out a nice spot under you is where she is going to end up! Minnie and Skipper just need someone to love them together and let them live out their retirement life as brother and sister.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly and happy

Tips and Tidbits: Minnie's estimated birthday is 3/12/2009

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
