Meet An Adoptable Dog
Breed: Boxer / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed
Weight: 50 lbs and growing. Otto is stocky but full of muscle.
Height: 20 in
Estimated Birthdate: 5/30/2020
Fence Needed: Yes
Location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet, SC.
Reason for being in rescue: Otto and his siblings were abandoned in a barn. A loving volunteer saw their story and stepped up to get them safely into rescue for vetting and their forever homes. Otto was placed into a home when he was very young, but came back to rescue because puppies are work and need training to be the best version of themselves.
Special Needs: Otto is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and heartworm negative. He's ready for his forever home!
What kind of home would be best for me: Otto is young and active. He is looking for a home that has the time and energy to give him what he needs. He would be great in a home with another young, active dog. He has lived as the only dog so another canine companion is not a requirement. He has never lived with cats. Otto needs lots of exercise. He would be a great running, hiking, adventure buddy. He has lived in a home with children and is well suited to a home with children over 10. Otto's forever home will be committed to the time and training that he needs to be his best self.
What is my personality like: Otto is a typical 8 month old puppy. He is affectionate, full of energy, and in need of training. Otto enjoys the company of other dogs. While he has primarily lived as an only dog, he would love another active young dog to play with. He LOVES squeaky toys and hard bones. He is a puppy that is still mouthy and needs appropriate toys and stimulation to keep him from getting into mischief and eating things he shouldn't.
Otto is crate trained and very well house broken in his former home. He doesn't know any commands other than sit, but is very, very smart and eager to learn. Otto is incredibly food motivated. This will be very helpful for training. Otto loves people and bonds quickly. He will follow you everywhere and just wants to be where you are.
Otto is a great boy that is eager to bond and have his family. He is very active and needs a family with the energy and time to keep up with this boy. You will be rewarded with the best companion!
How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly
Tips and Tidbits: Otto's estimated birthday is 5/30/20
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
