My Story

Date into Rescue: 08/01/2020

Reason for being in rescue: Hoarding case

Special Needs: Marco was neutered on 8/20/20. He is ready for his forever home. Marco requires a home with another confident dog. He will not be adopted to a first time dog owner.

What kind of home would be best for me: Marco is a young boy looking for an active family. His ideal home has another active dog and children over 5 that want to teach a dog. Marco is not house broken. He is working on crate training, but still has accidents. His forever family will understand that he has never lived as a pet and needs patience and consistency and training. Given this, we are also looking for a home where someone is home during the day.

What is my personality like: Marco is a young puppy that arrived in rescue as part of a hoarding case. He has never lived in a house and knows nothing about being a pet. He is working on learning to stay clean in his crate, but it is a work in progress. His forever family will understand that he needs lots of time and patience and consistency to learn what being a pet means.

Marco is as happy as they come. He loves to lay in laps, give lots of kisses, and play with his brother Polo and other dogs. He is doing very well with other dogs that live in his cottage and cats are just something else to play with. Marco had never been on a leash before rescue. He would far prefer to be carried around, but is learning what leashes are all about with practice. Marco does not know any tricks, but is treat motivated and eager to learn. He is a classic young dog!

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly and excited

Tips and Tidbits: Polo's estimated birthday is 01/31/20

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
