My Story

Date into Rescue: 10/9/2020

Reason for being in rescue: Midnight was found as a stray. She was transferred to CPR via another rescue.

Special Needs: Midnight is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and FIV negative.

What kind of home would be best for me: Midnight is a cat lover's dream. She'd be happy as your only cat or with other cats. She absolutely loves dogs and would be thrilled to have some canine siblings in the house, but it isn't a requirement. Midnight is equal parts independent and loving. She is an indoor only cat.

What is my personality like: You may be wondering how a cat ends up in a dog rescue. In Midnight's case, we went looking for her! It is important that we are able to cat test the dogs that come through our rescue to help families understand the potential dynamic between the dog they are adopting and a cat. Midnight plays this very important job at Carolina Poodle Rescue - she is our dog testing cat!

Midnight absolutely loves dogs and enjoys being in their company. She is living in our medical clinic with another cat and many dogs. She enjoys the freedom of climbing shelves, typing on the computer (which can be less than helpful) and sharing lunch with our caregivers. She is a very happy, well socialized cat that loves getting all the attention.

Midnight is an indoor only cat. She is litter box trained and enjoys spending her days relaxing in beds and helping with caregiving duties. She does have a very sensitive stomach and is on a special food. This special diet helps eliminate diarrhea.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly

Tips and Tidbits: Midnight's estimated birthday is 4/4/2015. She was found as a stray. This is the birthday provided by the rescue we welcomed her from.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
