My Story

Date into Rescue: 10/27/2020

Reason for being in rescue: Marlee was found as a stray by one of our caregivers.

Special Needs: Marlee was neutered on 11/5/2020. She is ready for her forever home.

What kind of home would be best for me: Marlee is a young, active dog looking for a family to take her on adventures. Her ideal home is as the only dog with a family looking for a loving companion. Marlee is good with other dogs, but expects them to respect her boundaries. She is good with cats. She would do well with a child over 5 that wants a best friend to grow up with. Marlee has fine, straight hair and does shed.

What is my personality like: Miss Marlee is full of personality. This busy, happy lady wants to be where you are and wants to be in the action. She is full of love and full of life. Marlee's favorite way to show affection is to climb into your lap and smother your face in kisses. Just watch your nostrils - she will sneak her tongue up your nose just to show you how much love she has for you!

Marless is a busy lap princess. If you are sitting still she wants to be all over you. She would be great as an only dog and we are certain will love playing with toys as she settles into her forever home. Marlee is good on a leash, but would far prefer to be carried. She loves meeting new people and going for car rides. If there is an adventure, Marlee is up for it. Marlee is super energetic and eager to share her love!

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly

Tips and Tidbits: Marlee's estimated birthday is 10/27/2015

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
