My Story

Date into Rescue: 12/19/2020

Reason for being in rescue: Stray Anderson

Special Needs: Jakob was neutered on 12/29/20. He is current on vaccines and heartworm negative. Jakob is currently being treated for ear mites. These are contaigous!

What kind of home would be best for me: Jakob is young and active with absolutely no manners. This cutie needs a very active home that is committed to training and lots of physical and mental stimulation. Jakob is a lot of dog. His energy is too much for most dogs. He could live with another dog, but it would take just the right pet. Jakob would be very happy as the only dog in your home. Jakob is not suited for a home with children under 10. He is not suited for a home with cats. JAKOB DOES SHED!

What is my personality like:  Jakob is a big silly goof ball, he loves to prance around and hang his tongue out and is quite clumsy!!! He’s a big puppy with little understanding of manners. He is not dog aggressive but can startle dogs if they do not match his energy, which can lead to a fight if not monitored properly. He would do well with another large rambunctious dog to show him the ropes. Jakob is a chewer, if it fits in his mouth he will chew it. He’s a lot of puppy. He adores pets and cuddles. !!!!!HIGH SHEDDING!!!!!!

Jacob will "fence fight" with other dogs. We think it is less about fighting and more about wanting to get to the action and wanting to play. Jacob needs a very active home preferably with no children under 10. He likes to hug.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly

Tips and Tidbits: Jakob's estimated birthday is 12/11/2019

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
