My Story

Date into Rescue: 1/8/2021

Reason for being in rescue: Stray pacolet

Special Needs: Kelsey was spayed on 01/29/2021. She is up to date on all vaccines and ready for her forever home.

What kind of home would be best for me: Kelsey's history is completely unknown. She was found as a stray and brought to rescue for safety. Her forever home understands and appreciates that we have no history on her. Her breed estimates are a guess. Her size when full grown is a guess. What we do know is that Kelsey is a wonderful, actively girl who ABSOLUTELY CANNOT live with small dogs or cats. Kelsey accidentally hurt a small dog in our rescue trying to play. We will not set her or another small dog or cat up for this risk in a home.

What is my personality like: Kelsey is a young, very active pup in need of training and time. Her energy outmatches other dogs at times and she doesn't know what to do with it. Kelsey is living in a foster home with other dogs where she is learning to play appropriately with large dogs, how to sleep quietly through the night in a home, and generally how to be a companion. She has an incredible recall and would be great for training.

Kelsey needs activity, lots of activity. She needs someone committed to ongoing training with her. She would be fantastic with another large, active dog for play and companionship.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly

Tips and Tidbits: Kelsey was found as a stray. We have absolutely no history on her. We have estimated her birthday as 9/7/2020 based on her overall condition and growth pattern.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
