My Story

Date into Rescue: 03/21/2021

Reason for being in rescue: Lovingly surrendered by owners

Special Needs: Henry is neutered, up to date on all vaccines and heartworm negative. Henry is ready for his forever home.

What kind of home would be best for me: Henry's ideal home is very active. He'd be great in a home where someone works from home, but this is not a requirement. He'd love another active, young dog, but will also be happy as the only dog. No cats please! Henry needs training and plenty of exercise. Though he enjoys a good snuggle he is not a couch potato by any means.

What is my personality like: Henry has had quite the journey in his estimated 2 short years. His original owners rehomed him for free on a social media site. A concerned citizen stepped up to "adopt" Henry to ensure he got to the right home. They then reached out to rescue to ensure Henry gets the right home. And that is where Henry's story with Carolina Poodle Rescue begins.

Henry is a young, active dog looking for a young, active lifestyle. He is happy, curious and a little bit mischievous. He loves toys and playing ball. He enjoys the other dogs in his foster home, though his energy is frequently too much for them. Henry is ready to be someone's hiking adventure buddy and forever family pet!

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly

Tips and Tidbits: Henry's estimated birthday is 03/21/2019. The owners that surrendered stated he is 2 years old. This birthday estimate is based on that.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
