My Story

Date into Rescue: 4/24/2021

Reason for being in rescue: Stray Gaffney

Special Needs: Ramie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. Found as a stray, it is no surprise that Ramie is currently being treated for worms.

What kind of home would be best for me: Ramie is a beautiful, young home looking for a family that will give her time to trust them. All it takes is some treats and consistency and she will give you her heart quickly. Ramie's ideal home has another dog in it. She enjoys the company of other dogs and has always lived with one. Ramie needs an active home with plenty of exercise and a commitment to training, a fence is needed for the energetic gal.

What is my personality like: Ramie's history is completely unknown. She and her brother Boyd were found as strays near our rescue and brought here for safety. They were well-fed and have known human affection. Yet no one came forward for these beautiful babies.

Ramie is shy when she first meets people. She can be nervous and unsure about unfamiliar people and new environments. We can't blame her given all the change she's had in her short life. But give this girl time to trust you and she will follow you to across the world.

Ramie is a great dog. She is clean in her crate and easy to manage. Her crate is her safe place and she appreciates the safety and comfort it provides. She loves food... her favorite snack is cheese. Ramie loves other dogs. She happily plays with the other dogs in her playgroup and enjoys sunbathing for rest after play. Now that she knows her caregivers, she is always excited for cuddles and will lay in your lap for hours.

Ramie is a shy sweet girl. she takes a little bit to come around and is still a little nervous and unsure about new things , but give this girl time to trust you and she will follow you across the world. she’s clean in her crate and goes up without hesitation. she loves food and her favorite snack is cheese. she loves her playgroup and will play and sunbathe with them all day. she’s always excited for cuddles and will lay in your lap for hours.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Shy but friendly

Tips and Tidbits: Ramie's estimated birthday is 10/7/2020. She was found as a stray so this is a complete guess based on her overall condition.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
