What kind of home would be best for me: First and foremost, Caroline and Rose are looking for a home together. These girls have always been together and will not be separated. Their ideal home has someone home during the day (work from home, home school, etc.) but they could be home alone with breaks. Though they get along with other animals, Caroline and Rose need to be the only dogs in the home. They would be fine with cats. They have been around children and would be happy with kids over 6.
What is my personality like: Caroline and Rose are a bonded pair. Sadly, life changed for their owner and when she returned to an office for daily work, she knew her girls needed something more. Caroline and Rose had been living in a home with a great dane that they didn't really get along with. Their owner wanted to ensure all her dogs were safe so she reached out for Carolina Poodle Rescue to help Caroline and Rose find their perfect home together.
Caroline and Rose are almost identical in looks and in personality. They are are both well mannered pets, that know how to live in a home and shine ever so brightly in a home. Both girls know basic commands (and are highly treat motivated). They can be a bit stubborn about doing tricks on command, but we recognize there is lots of activity and stimulation around our rescue so they are also likely distracted.
Both girls are food motivated and enjoy chowing down at breakfast and dinner. They crate easy and well, and would love to have crates in their homes to go lie down in when they are tired.
Caroline and Rose are an easy addition to any family!
How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly
Tips and Tidbits: We were told Caroline is 6 years old when she was surrendered to rescue. We celebrate her birthday as 10/3/2015
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
