My Story

Date into Rescue: 12/7/2021

Reason for being in rescue: owner release/health of owner

Special Needs:  None noted - Roxy had her teeth cleaned 12/23 and had a touch of a cold at that time.  She's recovered but has a vet recheck on 1/11/22 and can be adopted after that date.

What kind of home would be best for me:  Roxy can't wait to take on life in her new home!  She would like a home that has a big back yard for her to play in. Another dog to run and romp with.  Lots of lap time once we're inside and a long walk or hike on the weekends.  Trips to fun places where Roxy is always included.  It's her heart's desire.

What is my personality like:  Roxy is your typical love bug.  She loves being outside and exploring; she wants to partake in many outside adventures,.  Roxy would make an amazing hiking companion - she's an energizer bunny always up for something new and fun.  You would never believe she is her age.  She is a higher energy dog that loves playing with other dogs as well as being on the go.  She would adore another playmate at home.

Roxy would benefit from basic training.  She is eager to learn but has never been given a chance to show how far she could go.  She is highly food motivated so this would be a fast and fun training for her.

How do I act when I first meet new people:  Roxy loves people, she is always excited to meet a stranger.  Strangers are

Tips and Tidbits: Roxy's estimated birthdate is 12/7/2013

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
