My Story

Date into Rescue: 2/26/2022

Reason for being in rescue: Norman was found as a stray and landed at a local shelter. Carolina Poodle Rescue pulled him from the shelter.

Special Needs: Norman is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. In March 2022, Norman had a major dental with extractions. He will require regular dentals for the rest of his life. Norman also had a perineal hernia removed in March 2022.

What kind of home would be best for me: Norman is looking for a home where he will be a pampered prince. His primary request is that someone is home during the day and wants a dog with them at all times - this is non-negotiable. Norman is fine with other dogs of other sizes, though he doesn't engage them in play. He is indifferent to cats. He would be happy with children over 8.

What is my personality like: Norman is a very mellow and sweet guy! Norman like to live the simple and pampered lifestyle! He wants snuggles, fluffy beds, and plenty of love! Norman can get chilly from time to time when weather gets colder and loves to put on sweaters to help keep him warm! He loves to get out from time to time and go exploring and does wonderful with staying nearby to his humans!

Norman does well on a leash, is clean in a crate although he doesn’t necessarily need one in his home, and is not a picky eater. All that Norman wants is a person. He wants to be with you ALL the time - the ultimate velcro dog and lap baby!

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly

Tips and Tidbits: Norman was found as a stray so we have no history on him. He is estimated at 8 years old based on his overall health and condition. We celebrate Norman's birthday as 2/14/2014.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
