Meet An Adoptable Dog
Breed: Domestic Short Hair (medium coat)
Weight: 7 lbs
Height: 10 in
Estimated Birthdate: 1/15/2016
Fence Needed: No
Location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC
Reason for being in rescue: Queen was transferred from another rescue to Carolina Poodle Rescue
Special Needs: Queen is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Queen arrived in rescue a very sick girl. What we thought was constipation was actually a perineal hernia. In March 2025 Queen had her perineal hernia removed and had a colopexy. She also had a significant dental. Our veterinary partner noted that she also has lower respiratory disease. For all of her physical challenges, Queen is the happiest girl you will meet!
What kind of home would be best for me: Queen wants a home where she can be queen of the house! She royal and regal, she deserves the very best and she will most definitely let you know! Queen is very well mannered with other cats and dogs of all sizes. Queen wants a home that understands she is very independent and stable on her own. Queen will do best in most households as she is very stable and adaptable to most situations.
What is my personality like: Queen is independent, she enjoys watching life go by her. Around the rescue she does enjoy the occasion scratch here and there but definitely sticks to herself. While she’s independent, she is always out in the open, you will rarely catch her hiding! Queen is very much curious and thoughtful of the world. Queen is fabulous and we just all adore her.
How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly and interested
Tips and Tidbits: Queen is estimated at 6 years old. We celebrate her birthday as 01/15/2016.
House trained: Queen is litter box trained
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
