My Story

Date into Rescue: 3/15/2022

Reason for being in rescue: Brynlee's owner is in poor health and can no longer care for her beloved schnauzers

Special Needs: Brynlee is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. She had a major dental and will need follow up dental care on a regular basis.

What kind of home would be best for me:  Brynlee's ideal home would be with another dog that she could bond with because she’s not very confident.  She likes to follow the lead of another dog. Brynlee would love someone that is home during the day. It isn't a requirement, but she loves her people and is happiest when she is with them. Brynlee lives in a foster home with dogs of all sizes and cats. She is also learning to live with a child older than 7.

What is my personality like:  Brynlee is a sweet girl that just wants a lap to cuddle on. She walks well on a leash and loves to be outside. She is good with cats and dogs big and small. She loves Bye Bye and knows what it means when you grab the leash.

Brynlee does bark a lot (apparently that is a schnauzer thing) and wouldn’t do well in an apartment complex. She will sleep in a crate and is crate trained but she prefers to be with her people.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Brynlee is slow at warming up but after she does she is your best friend. So come with a little bit of patience and some treats and be prepared to watch a shy wall flower blossom under your loving care.

Tips and Tidbits: We don't have an exact birthdate for Brynlee but was told she is about 8.  We celebrate her birthdate as 3/15/2014.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
