My Story

Date into Rescue: 04/03/2022

Reason for being in rescue: Lovingly surrendered by owners

Special Needs: Enzo is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and neutered. On 4/26/2022 Enzo had surgery to remove 39 benign lumps and bumps from his body. The largest was on his neck. Enzo has healed well and is ready for his forever home.

What kind of home would be best for me: Enzo would love a home where he could sit on the couch and look out a window. He has lived with toddlers and kids but will quickly take food out of their hands with minor biting so he may not be appropriate in a house with children.

What is my personality like: Enzo is reserved. Enzo loves to get under a couch, bed, or coffee table and rest. He prefers a calm environment. He does like to go on walks and explore. He also likes a cuddle or two every once in a while.

Enzo loves to greet new people at the door. He rubs his head against legs and lifts a paw hoping for a hello belly rub. Enzo loves to hide under things. He currently sleeps mostly under our bed. During the day he likes to gets under the couch next to the air vent and rest out of the way of others. Enzo pulls on leash at the beginning of walks but but heels after he remembers

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly

Tips and Tidbits: Enzo is 9.5 years old. We celebrate his birthday as 7/26/2012. Enzo is good with dogs of all sizes and cats.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
