My Story

Date into Rescue: 4/7/2022

Reason for being in rescue: Beau was transferred to rescue via a shelter in West Virginia

Special Needs: Beau is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.

What kind of home would be best for me: Beau would enjoy a home with a canine friend but it is not required. Beau wants a home where he can romp and play all day, he wants a home that will enroll him in obedience and take the time to teach him new things as his young mind needs to be engaged. Beau is good with cats and other dogs. Beau is not suited for young children and would do best with older children so they are not frightened by his loud bark.

What is my personality like: Beau is big, bold, and beautiful. He is a loud kind of guy, he does enjoy to bark and talk to you. Beau is simply stunning, he is still unsure if he wants to come all the way up to caregivers when they pass out love but he does eventually cave in!

Beau is just a bit shy and masks his shyness with his big and bold bark. Beau does not know any commands but does walk well on a leash. Beau is young, intelligent and ready to take on life as a pet. He has a bright playful attitude. Beau will benefit from formal training to help him become the best, most confident version of himself.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Shy initially but warms up!

Tips and Tidbits: Beau is estimated at 2.5 years old. We celebrate his birthday as 9/30/2019.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
