My Story
Reason for being in rescue: owner release
Special Needs: Ali is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Ali currently takes a daily hemp chew to help keep him centered and calmer.
What kind of home would be best for me: Ali is a young, active doodle. He is full of personality and energy. Ali is looking for a very specific home - one that is high physical activity but calm human energy. He is picky about his friends and given this needs to be the only dog in the home. He isn't suited for life with other dogs or with cats. Ali could live with calm children over 10. He wouldn't do well in an environment where there are tons of people in and out or where dog parks are part of the socialization strategy. He would make an incredible camping, hiking, and travel buddy.
What is my personality like: Ali is a young energetic dude that would take very well to basic training. This boy is one smart cookie! He pulls on a leash but with a little training would do phenomenal. He already knows sit and is highly treat motivated.
Ali is picky about his canine friends. He has high standards and many dogs don't meet those. Given this, we're looking for a home where Ali will be the only dog. Ali is crate trained and does well about keeping it clean. We recommend he has one in the home as a safe place for him to retreat to. He absolutely adores his “babies” and will frequently carry one around with him.
Ali will need a calm environment as he is easily stimulated. He currently takes daily hemp chews that help to keep him centered. Ali does guard his food. It is important that he is fed in a quiet place and that you do not try to take his food away from him or bother it while he is eating.
Ali is a bouncing baby boy that is looking for his human to guide him and keep his hyper active self in line !
How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly
Tips and Tidbits: Ali is estimated at just over 1 year old. We celebrate his birthday as 12/13/2020.
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Potential Adopters
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
