My Story

Date into Rescue: 4/15/2022

Reason for being in rescue: breeder release

Special Needs: Luna O is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 4/19/22, Luna O had a hernia repaired.

What kind of home would be best for me: Luna is a younger goldendoodle with an old soul. She is calm and gentle. Luna would benefit from having another large dog in the home to learn from and to model positive behavior. She will also benefit from positive reinforcement training. Luna could live with a family that has a calm vibe or be the only pet of active retirees. She is eager to learn and please.

What is my personality like: Luna was surrendered by her breeder to rescue. She has a beautiful demeanor, but very little life experience. Much of what you teach Luna will be new to her. She is eager to learn and eager to please.

Luna is a very sweet, loving, gentle soul. She can get shy and timid when placed in new environments and situations. This is nothing that isn’t very easily overcame. To help her feel more at ease she would benefit from having a calm confident dog in the home to help her come around faster. She could go into a variety of different types of homes from full families, young couples, or just a simple companion for mature couple or individual.

Luna is easy and mild mannered, just a polite lady. Still young and has lots of time to still be taught new tricks, obedience, and to just be a good well rounded pup. Socialization is key for her own personal growth. She is young and needs to see all this wonderful world has to offer her.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Shy at first, but warms up quickly

Tips and Tidbits: Luna O is estimated at 4 years old. We celebrate her birthday as 4/15/2018.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
