My Story

Date into Rescue: 4/19/2022

Reason for being in rescue: Lucy and Ellie were transferred to Carolina Poodle Rescue from another rescue.

Special Needs: Lucy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Please note that while we don't have any documentation of Lucy's spay, she does have a spay scar. LUCY IS BONDED TO ELLIE. WE WILL ONLY CONSIDER A HOME WITH ROOM IN THEIR HEART FOR BOTH PRECIOUS GIRLS.

What kind of home would be best for me: First and foremost, Lucy is looking for a home with room in their heart for 2 dogs. Lucy and her best friend Ellie are bonded and will only be adopted together. If you don't want to adopt 2 dogs, Lucy is not your dog. Second, we are looking for a home that has a heart for dogs with special needs. Lucy's sister Ellie has special needs that must be carefully managed. Lucy and Ellie will be happy as your only dogs or with other dogs. They have demeanors well suited for children over 10.

What is my personality like: Lucy is a big baby who loves her humans! She enjoys all things cuddling & being snuggled. Lucy has a sister Ellie, who she is bonded to and love very much. They spend most of their time cuddling. Lucy loves blankets and chewing bones. She will go outside but isn't too active, she'd rather lay out and sunbathe.

Lucy is a very sweet girl who loves everyone she meets. Lucy is very clean in her crate and does well with other dogs. She isn't much of a player but does enjoy their company. She is a laid back girl who just wants to be a couch potato with her favorite person (and of course her sister). Lucy is looking for a home with lots of snuggles and blankets!! She loves with her whole heart and will love you forever!

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly

Tips and Tidbits: Lucy is estimated at 3 years old. We celebrate her birthday as 4/19/2019.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
