My Story

Date into Rescue: 4/19/2022

Reason for being in rescue: Lovingly surrendered by owners

Special Needs: Penny Piper is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She does shed lightly.

What kind of home would be best for me: Penny Piper is wise and calm for her young age. She has a bit of an old soul. She is well mannered and gentle with humans. Penny Piper would really love to be the only dog; she could live with other calm dogs, but her ideal is as the apple of your eye. She would love to go to work with you, travel with you, and sleep quietly by your side.

What is my personality like: Piper is a real quiet, calm, collected young lady. She doesn't like to cause too much fuss but can get a little lively and playful to start her days. She could thrive as an only dog or having maybe one or two dogs that match her lower calm energy and aren't too much for her. Penny Piper can get stressed or overwhelmed by being forced into new abrasive situations or met with a too high energy dog, she has the capability of snapping but we've not seen at the farm. She goes out with 3 other medium energy dogs, she gets along fine with them.\

Penny Piper would be a good dog for someone really just wanting a quiet naturally well behaved companion dog. We could see her just lounging for hours on a nice comfy bed as her human works, possibly being in the office with them in a work from home situation. She walks well on a leash and is overall a great office companion.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly

Tips and Tidbits: Penny Piper is estimated at 2 years old. We celebrate her birthday as 4/19/2020.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
