My Story

Date into Rescue: 6/3/2022

Reason for being in rescue: breeder release

Special Needs: Daisy had a mammary tumor removed and a sample was sent for analysis. It came back as benign.  Daisy is spayed, microchipped, up to date on routine vaccinations, And heartworm negative and on preventative.  She has had her teeth cleaned.  Daisy is very close to her mother Spice and the two of them are never far from each other. We would like to place them both together

What kind of home would be best for me: Daisy requires a home that would be open to adopting both her and her mother, Spice. She needs someone who has a tremendous amount of patience, and can keep a consistent routine for her. She came to the rescue as a breeder surrender, so she requires a lot of training and socialization. Daisy has been known to jump fences when she sees someone she wants to play with, or can't find her person, so she will need to be supervised while outside.

What is my personality like: Daisy comes off as a shy and reserved little flower bud, but once she learns her human(s) are kind and providing her a safe place she'll begin to bloom! Her true personality is a very sweet-natured, inquisitive adventurer. She has plenty of energy explore with her person, but at the end of the day she enjoys a calm, peaceful cuddle session.

Daisy was never allowed to be just a pet, so she will need to need potty and obedience training. Food is her number one motivation. She already expects treats after a potty break here at the farm, so keep that going when you take her home to be one step ahead.  Daisy would also benefit having a confident dog in the home to teach her how to be a real dog. Once she has fully adjusted to her new environment and family, she would be a great candidate for doggy daycare and frequent visits to dog parks to help with socialization. Daisy is more than ready to find her fur-ever family to spoil and pamper her like the princess she is!

How do I act when I first meet new people: Daisy is very shy, timid, and fearful when first introduced. However, once you gain her trust she will blossom into the beautiful flower that all of us here know and love. Be warned, once she falls in love, she will want to shower you with hugs and kisses every time she sees you!

Tips and Tidbits: Daisy is crate trained and does fantastic when crated. However, this should be kept at a minimum, as needed basis.  Daisy’s actual birthdate is 12/21/2018.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
