My Story

Date into Rescue: 5/26/2022

Reason for being in rescue: breeder release

Special Needs: April is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.

What kind of home would be best for me: April is a young girl (5 months) who's had very little exposure to life. She is VERY happy with other dogs, but more timid around humans. The good news is she's super food motivated so winning her trust and heart is fairly easy. April requires a home with another active dog for play. She will be best with a family experienced in rescue. April will benefit from routine, consistency, and patience. She's come a long way since arriving in rescue but still needs socialization. April is a great young girl with so much potential and all the happy, goofy love to share!

What is my personality like: April is a sweet puppy who needs lots of love & patience. She is a bit scared at first sight but with lots of treats & time, she will love you with her whole heart. She does amazing with other dogs, as playing is her all time favorite thing to do. She would need a play buddy to guide her as she grows!

April is very food motivated and loves dinner time. She is crate trained and is very clean in her crate. April is a active dog so would need a fenced in yard to play with her buddies!! She is still learning what a leash is all about, but is eager to learn and needs a family to teach her. She'll be a great candidate for positive reinforcement training.

April is a bundle of love who is ready to spend the rest of her life with her forever home!

How do I act when I first meet new people: A little timid, but warms up quickly, especially if there are treats involved!

Tips and Tidbits: April is estimated at 5 months old. We celebrate her birthday as 1/25/2022.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
