My Story

Date into Rescue: 6/11/2022

Reason for being in rescue: breeder release

Special Needs: Stan is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.

What kind of home would be best for me: Stan is a young dog that has never lived as a pet. He has a wonderful demeanor that will blossom in a home with patience and consistency. Stan requires a home with another dog for socialization and to learn from. He is good with dogs of all sizes and cats. Stan is going to be a bit of a project. Everything you teach him will be new. He is best suited for a home that has rescued before and understands that it will take time before he'll be the best, most confident version of himself.

What is my personality like: Stan is a young energetic boy who will need someone that is home more than they are away. Everything is new to Stan and he is not totally sure how to be a pet just yet. It is required that Stan have an calm dog to model good behavior but one that would be willing to play would be ideal.

Stan is very intelligent and would benefit greatly from positive reinforcement training. He will need work walking on a leash and he does not know any basic commands yet. Stan likes his crate and does great about keeping it clean it is required he have one in the home to retreat to when he is feeling overwhelmed. Without proper stimulation his young mind wonders and Stan may find himself in trouble. Stan enjoys puzzle toys lick mats and is highly treat motivated.

When you first meet Stan he may not approach you right away but with time and the right treat he will slowly start to come around.  Stan is very quiet and unsure of his environment he will need his family to understand he needs time patience and lots of love.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Shy

Tips and Tidbits: Stan's birthday is 10/28/2021

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
