My Story

Date into Rescue: 6/11/2022

Reason for being in rescue: breeder release

Special Needs: Casey is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 06/27/22 she had a dental polishing.

What kind of home would be best for me: Casey is looking for someone who will take her on daily walks, play ball, and give her lots of treats and belly rubs. She is great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, and wouldn't mind having a furry friend to keep her company. She would also do well with being the center of your world as an only dog. Casey would prefer to have a fenced in yard to run and play ball freely in, but she would settle for frequent visits to the dog park too. Casey does use her crate as her safe space when she is stressed. Her main fear is thunderstorms, or anything that sounds like one. She will seek comfort during these times, either in her crate or from her human. Casey is good with dogs of all sizes.

What is my personality like: Casey is such a good girl! She knows all her basic commands, and will be willing to do them all for you, for a small treat fee. She loves going on long walks with her people, and is excellent on a leash and harness. The only time she may drag you is if she sees a statue; they tend to give her a fright and will bark and try to get away.  Playing ball with her is a daily requirement in her book, followed by cuddling on the couch getting belly-rubs. This precious girl would be a great addition to any family. She is the perfect best friend!

How do I act when I first meet new people: Casey greets everyone with a smile, but tends to show favoritism towards the ones that give her all the pets and treats.

Tips and Tidbits: Casey's estimated birthday is 6/17/2016.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
