My Story

Date into Rescue: 7/22/2022

Reason for being in rescue: Sunbeam was found as a stray and landed at a shelter in TN. Carolina Poodle Rescue pulled her from the shelter

Special Needs: Sunbeam is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.

What kind of home would be best for me: Sunbeam is looking for a family who wants to be showered with her love and affection. This precious ball of sunshine loves to gives kisses and cuddles. She is great with children! Another dog(s) in the house would be perfectly fine for her as well since she loves to have play-time. A fenced in yard is preferred since she does enjoy the outside, but is not required. She will settle for frequent visits to the dog park too.

What is my personality like: Her name sums up everything about Sunbeam. This baby girl is a shining ray of sunshine that spreads joy wherever she goes. She's a curious girl, so adventures are always exciting for her. She loves going on car rides, to where doesn't matter as long as she is invited. Once she's had her fill of adventures for the day, she just wants to curl up in your lap to snuggle the night away!

Sunbeam is crate trained, but should be kept to a minimum. Doggy daycare would be a great option for her during the day once she is adjusted to her new home.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Sunbeam has a heart of gold! She has yet to meet a stranger, and doubt she ever will. People just can't help but smile when she is around.

Tips and Tidbits: Sunbeam was found as a stray so we have no history on her. Based on her overall health and condition she is estimated at 6 months old. We celebrate her birthday as 2/18/2022.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
