My Story

Date into Rescue: 8/14/2022

Reason for being in rescue: breeder release

Special Needs: Ramonda is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.

What kind of home would be best for me: Ramonda would make a great companion for a kind, patient, gentle soul, just like hers. She is timid and shy, but once she warms up she will shower you with love. She is fearful of loud noises, so a mostly quiet home is a must for her. Ramonda loves to play with her fur friends, and would benefit from a confident dog companion in the home to teach her that humans can be pretty awesome. Ramonda will somewhat walk on a leash, but still needs a lot of work. She is a very smart girl, and picks up on things quickly. She needs someone who will take time to work on her training, positive reinforcement and treats seem to work best for this sweet girl.

What is my personality like: Ramonda comes across as a wallflower at first, but deep down she is a warm ray of sunshine ready to shower you with love. Snuggled up with her person is her favorite place to be. If she can get into your lap, even better. She may not be the size of your stereotypical lap dog, but she sure thinks she is. This sweet natured girl will make anyone’s heart melt.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Ramonda is a very shy girl at first. If you do not force the situation, and let her come to you on her terms, she warms up fairly quickly.

Tips and Tidbits: We do not know Ramonda's exact birthday, but do know from her breeder that she was 8 months old when she was surrendered to rescue. Our best estimate is 12/14/2021.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
