My Story

Date into Rescue: 8/31/2022

Reason for being in rescue: breeder release

Special Needs: Margie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.

What kind of home would be best for me: Margie is a puppy, so she needs a home that is patient and willing to take the time for proper training. She has a lot of puppy energy to expend, and needs someone that can keep up with her. She would do well as an only dog, but prefer to have at least one other dog in the home she can play with. If she were the only dog though, puppy daycare and frequent visits to the dog park would be a must for continued socialization. A fenced-in yard isn’t a deal breaker, but is preferred for this ball of energy.  She loves to run and roll around completely uninhibited.

What is my personality like: Margie is a pure ball of unbridled joy. You never see this girl without a smile from ear to ear on her face. If you are having a bad day, this girl will do her best to help turn it around. She loves to snuggle up with you any chance she gets, and will sometimes try to sneak up on your lap when you aren’t paying attention. She knows “sit” and “lay” but sometimes gets them backwards. She also knows “stay” but doesn’t always like to listen. If she’s in her mood to not listen, in her attempt to be sneaky, she will army crawl over to you and either climb in your lap, if available, or lean up against you with a giant smile on her face. Just look at that face, you can’t help but smile back and give her all the pets.

When Margie isn’t loving up on her favorite people, she’s jumping and playing with them and her fur friends. Margie loves to cut loose and get silly. Rolling in the grass, playing tag and stealing blooms off rose bushes are two of her favorite activities lately. There is never a dull moment with Margie around.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Margie does not have the word “stranger” in her vocabulary. She becomes everyone’s best friend the second she meets them.

Tips and Tidbits: Margie's exact birthday is 12/2/2021.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
