My Story

Date into Rescue: 10/25/2022

Reason for being in rescue: breeder release

Special Needs: Shauna is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.

What kind of home would be best for me: Shauna is a stunning young gal who hasn't experienced much yet. She is hoping a family will come and adopt her soon so she can get life's experience. She wants a family that will shower her in love as much as she will give back. She is dreaming of a home that has a fenced in area for her to explore safely. She would appreciate a family companion that is about her size that will show her how to be a dog. Shauna could live with a cat or two that are dog experienced, because she is curious. She wants to make friends with everyone she meets.

What is my personality like: As she learns new places and faces, she becomes a little less shy and nervous. She doesn't hesitate to be the center of attention. As she builds her confidence she becomes friendlier and happier. She wants attention from everyone she sees and meets. She thrives on positive praise and head pats. Shauna is incredibly sweet and loving, she just wants to be best friends. After she trusts you and knows you are her person, she will follow you everywhere and want to be by your side every step.

Shauna is crate trained and would prefer one in her new home so she knows she has a quiet safe place to rest her head. She is learning basic cues but is very inexperienced and learning the best she can. She wants to please so bad and wants love so bad it distracts her. She is asking for patience and understanding during her training, but once the light bulb clicks she lights up with accomplishment. She walks well on the leash but can be a bit nervous in new areas. With experience and positive reinforcement, Shauna will be an incredible dog that could do anything you ask her. All she asks in return, is you to be with her more than you are away from her.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Shauna loves people! She comes to you politely and waits for the ok she can sniff you and then she'll put her head up for head pats. She is a sweet loving gal that is looking for hearts to melt.

Tips and Tidbits: Shauna's birthday is 12/26/2021

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
