Special Needs: Carrie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 11/16/2022 she also had a dental polishing. Carrie did test positive for Lyme disease in 11/2021, prior to her arrival in rescue. Carrie is half of a bonded pair with Lucky T. They will not be separated and will only be adopted together.
What kind of home would be best for me: Carrie T is half of a bonded pair with her brother Lucky T. They have always lived together and will not be separated. We are seeking a home with an experienced dog owner and someone who is home more than they're away. Any lap will do. Carrie and Lucky just want a home where they sit around the couch watching the birds in the window. Lucky will be by your feet making sure the birds do not come too close. If you do not have room in your heart for 2 dogs, please do not apply to adopt Carrie T.
What is my personality like: I have a captivating smile and gaze long into your eyes. I am a cute spunky chuncky gal. I mostly enjoy laps but I also enjoy wrestling with my brother. We cuddle together on the couch or in our crate. We can live with anyone of all sizes that respect our short legs that do not run as fast. My brother and I enjoy walks, but not too far too fast just yet, our little legs can not go!
We are crate trained and can be left alone while you're at work. We love car rides and know how to sit and come. Lucky and I do require regular grooming and we are usually good for the groomer. Sometimes we bark.
Carrie and Lucky are wonderful lap babies looking for their forever home where they can Netflix and chill with their family!
How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly
Tips and Tidbits: Carrie's owners stated she was 9.5 years old when surrendered to rescue. We celebrate her birthday as 11/3/2013.
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
