My Story

Date into Rescue: 10/26/2022

Reason for being in rescue: owner release

Special Needs: Lucky is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 11/16/2022 Lucky had a dental polishing. Lucky is half of a bonded pair with his sister Carrie. They will only be adopted together.

What kind of home would be best for me: Lucky T is half of a bonded pair with his sister Carrie T. They have always lived together and will not be separated. We are seeking a home with an experienced dog owner and someone who is home more than they're away. Lucky and Carrie are seeking a home where they will be your only dogs. They love each other very much. If you do not have room in your heart for 2 dogs, please do not apply to adopt Lucky.

What is my personality like: My name is Lucky and I've been granted to make your wish come true! When you adopt my sister, Carrie and I, you will have the best life with us. We are cute and sweet little angels. We are a bit on the chunky side but that's because we love food and will do anything for it. And by anything, I mostly mean sitting cute by your foot. I don't mind sitting next to you on the couch or by your feet, my sister usually sits on your lap so I have to find other places to be. I can be with other dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes but they have to be nice to me and leave my sister alone. I have to protect her!

I like to go places and see new things. I am a happy boy, confident and not scared of anything. I like to be held but usually my sister is the one who gets carried. LOL that's why her name is Carrie- Carry me please- LOL! Yhea I am kinda funny and charming. We hope you think so too. I don't mind kids if they are nice, so maybe the older ones that will want to hang out with me:

How do I act when I first meet new people: I love people! You'll probably have my sister in your arms already and I'll be jumping around your feet to say hello. Once you sit down I'll be next to you.

Tips and Tidbits: Lucky's owners stated that he was 11 years old at the time he was surrendered to rescue. We celebrate his birthday as 11/4/2011.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
