My Story

Date into Rescue: 11/1/2022

Reason for being in rescue: owner release

Special Needs: Belle is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 11/09/22 Belle had a dental polishing.

What kind of home would be best for me: Belle is looking for a home where she will be the center of attention, and be treated like a princess. She currently lives with 3 cats in her foster home. She gives them a friendly wag of the tail, and then goes about her business. Belle enjoys playing with other dogs her size, or smaller. She can be fearful and timid around larger dogs. She would be fine sharing her home with other fur babies, but she wouldn’t mind being an only fur child either. Belle does have a touch of separation anxiety, and does not like to be left alone. She can be very vocal when she is left alone for long periods of time, so apartment living would not be recommended. Someone who works from home, or who can take her almost everywhere with them is her ideal human.

What is my personality like: Belle is an all around sweetheart who aims to please her people. She is curious about the outside world, and enjoys spending time exploring all the world has to offer. Her leash skills are impeccable, as she does not pull and follows her handlers movements. Inside the home

She is currently living in a foster home, and always alerts them when she needs to go outside to potty. She knows her basic commands, and also knows the command when it’s time to go to her crate. Belle is crate trained, but is only crated when her foster is not home and bed time.

Belle is the literal definition of a couch potato. Most times you can find her laying on her back, lounging in her doggy bed. If you can’t find her on the couch or in her bed, she has more than likely made herself all cozy inside her crate. Belle loves to cuddle with her people, and shower them with love. She is going to make one lucky person/family a wonderful furry friend.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Belle greets everyone she meets with a smile. She enjoys spreading all the joy she has for life with everyone she meets.

Tips and Tidbits: Belle’s birthday is 1/22/2019.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
