My Story

Date into Rescue: 12/19/2022

Reason for being in rescue: owner release

Special Needs: Boo Boo is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She arrived in rescue after major mammary tumor surgery. She has had a dental with 1 extraction. Boo Boo's body has healed and she is ready for her forever home.

What kind of home would be best for me: Boo Boo is an easy-going girl. She's living in a foster home with large and small dogs and is great with them, but doesn't require another animal in the house. What Boo Boo wants is her person. Her ideal home is with someone home during the day. She'd be a great go-everywhere companion. Boo Boo is great with everyone she meets and would be fine in a home with mature children. Please note that Boo Boo is not hypoallergenic and will shed lightly.

What is my personality like: Boo Boo arrived in rescue after being surrendered to a vet for euthanasia. She had a major mammary tumor and needed medical attention. Thankfully the vet is a good partner to our rescue and reached out asking for us to take her in. With those soulful eyes and flowing long hair it was impossible to say no.

Boo Boo is a wonderful girl that has clearly been loved. She never meets a stranger, greeting everyone with a happy, wagging tail. Boo Boo loves to snuggle in your lap when you are sitting. She is a sleep in the bed as close to you as she can get kind of girl. She is up for short strolls, road trips, and anything that involves time with her humans.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly

Tips and Tidbits: Boo Boo is estimated at 12 years old. We celebrate her birthday as 12/19/2010.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
