My Story
Reason for being in rescue: stray
Special Needs: Frisco is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.
What kind of home would be best for me: We are seeking a home with an experienced dog owner and someone who is home more than they're away. Frisco wants all of your attention. Therefore will want his family to be close by and not gone for too long without him. He is crate trained and is clean through the night. We would suggest a crate in his new home to help with the transition. He would like a home with another dog because he seems young enough that he's got a little more energy for a middle aged dude. Frisco and his fursibling, Koda were found on the side of the road running and dodging traffic. Probably chasing the chicken to ask the famous question. Both boys have since been altered and eating healthy meals and gaining weight. Frisco is playful with other dogs and seems fine around dog savey cats. Frisco would thrive in a home with younger kids- but maybe not babies. Frisco is a typical little beagle in the ways he's a fun pocket size mischievous, curious but cute little hound dog. And of course with a lot to say. A nose knows, and a hound will follow weather they know they should or not, therefore, it would be best for Frisco to have a fenced in yard to explore without the fear of him getting lost on a squirrel chase.
What is my personality like: Cute, charming, curious and entertaining are all the qualities of this little half pint hunting machine. Frisco is fun to be around and loves hard. He does expect the same love given back to him. He seeks a friendly lap to lay on and a fun person to take him out exploring like a hound knows how to.
How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly and curious.
Tips and Tidbits: Frisco was found as a stray so we have no history on him. Based on his overall health and condition he is estimated at 8 years old. We celebrate his birthday as 1/17/2015.
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Potential Adopters
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
